Asthma can be of various types in terms of causes and symptoms. Cough variant asthma is a type of asthma in which chronic dry cough is the sole symptom to bother the patient. They hardly experience other symptoms like wheezing or difficult breathing. Very few people suffer from this kind of asthma. They respond very little to methacholine challenge testing, unlike those suffering from other types of asthma. If the regular diagnostic methods fail in these cases, the patient’s response to asthma treatment helps in judging, he or she is having asthma. Simple physical and chest x-ray examinations of the patient help in determining the ailment. Cough as the only symptom, is enough to bother the person so much that like other asthma patients, he or she also requires quick medical relief.
The treatment of cough variant asthma seems to be almost the same as for other types. Though, bronchodilators may give just partial relief from the cough unless steroids are added for complete aid. Steroids like prednisone are recommended for oral intake. Tests may also be advised to check if eosinophils are the cause of inflammation in the lungs. Steroids are also given for inhalation. Some patients may show further bad cough due to aerosol content in the inhaler.
Cough variant asthma can happen to anyone but is common among children. It may or may not lead to typical asthma, later. In some children, its symptoms get weaker and weaker and with passage of time, they don’t show at all. In some unfortunate children, the asthma takes the form of classic one and becomes more chronic, later. So, the child has to bear with it all through his life. It can be induced due to many factors like exercising or running, cold or seasonal changes and exposure to allergens. So, whatever is the type, the patient needs to be cautious enough to not let its symptoms show frequently.

This leads to the occurrence of certain symptoms associated with skin, gastric system and respiratory system. The symptoms may include stomachache, headache, vomiting and nausea. An egg allergy is of two types. In some people, it caused due to the proteins present in the yolk and in some it happens due to proteins found in egg-white.

The heart valve disease is the outcome of defective valve function. The heart comprises of four valves that are located at the exit of each of its four chambers. These valves maintain the direction of blood flow in and out of the heart. The most crucial part about their function is that they ensure that the blood does not start flowing in reverse direction. The heart valve malfunction can result in grave life-threatening problems. The disease can occur even before birth of the baby and can develop later at any stage of life. It is also known as congenital valve disease.
The defect in the valve can be due to its incorrect size and structure, and germ infections. There are other causes also such as hypertension, heart muscle and tissue disease and syphilis. Rheumatic fever, endocarditis and mitral valve prolapse are the conditions arising from heart valve disease. The symptoms of heart valve disease are difficulty in breathing, extreme weakness, feeling of suffocation, heart beat irregularity and speeded weight gain. It is not necessary that every sufferer would experience these symptoms, some feel them and some not. That does not mean that those who don’t experience these symptoms are not under risk. The severity of symptoms can’t judge the seriousness of this disease.
Diagnosis of heart valve disease is done with the help of symptoms, physical test and other tests like echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging, radionuclide tests and angiogram. The tests can be repeated inorder to get confirmed accurate results. The defective valves are treated by surgical repair or complete valve replacement. But before any surgery, the effected valves are protected from further damage. If possible, medications like diuretics, vasodilators blood anticoagulants and thinner, are also provided. These may go life-long. The heart specialist studies the case thoroughly and decides the best possible treatment for that particular case as every case is different.

Diabetes insipidus is a type of diabetes, which is rarely found among people. It can be sensed by frequent urination. The urine passed in large volumes is nothing but water. So much of water loss can lead to dehydration. The patient constantly feels thirsty and needs to fulfil it. At times, the extent of thirst is so much that the patient has to keep water along with him, wherever he is. Problems like bet-wetting also arise out of the ailment. It becomes extremely difficult for the patient to be able to maintain water balance in the body. Due to this, he becomes cranky and irritable and sometimes feels extreme dullness.
Diabetes insipidus occurs due to the damaged pituitary gland. Reasons to the damage can be many like head injury, neurosurgery or genetic abnormalities. Pituitary gland releases hormone ADH. The deficiency of this hormone caused due to the damage needs to be covered up as soon as possible. To do this, a hormone called desmopressin is given as injection, or spray or as a tablet. This synthetic hormone helps in controlling excess urination and thus, water loss. There are three types of diabetes insipidus (DI), nephrogenic DI, dipsogenic DI and gestational DI. Though, frequent urination is considered to be the major symptom of diabetes insipidus yet tests should be done inorder to confirm the type of DI.
Diabetes insipidus can be caused due to any of the reason like over intake of water and other fluids or due to defective production of ADH hormone, or failure of kidneys in responding to ADH. This type of diabetes cannot be related to diabetes mellitus. Both the types are far different from each other and cannot be associated. Before going ahead with the needed treatment, the doctor should first confirm what exactly the ailment is and what factors are responsible for the symptoms. The correct mode of treatment only can get relief from the symptoms.
